maxm.art is a fictional gallery. It is part of NetGodz, a game, and everything else on this site is invented: the gallery, its director, the six artists, the twelve works, the addresses, the prices and the provenance. Nothing here is for sale, no work exists, no work will be delivered, and no transaction of any kind can be made through this site.

The rest of this page is the plain version of that. Please read it before you take anything on this site seriously, and please do not treat any page here as a record of a real artist, a real work, a real sale or a real valuation.

The fiction

NetGodz is a near-future setting with several websites in it. This is one of them, written in character. The artists named here do not exist and are not based on anyone; any resemblance to a living artist, dealer, gallery, collection, exhibition or work is unintended, and if you spot one we would like to know so we can change the name. The "credits" shown against each work are an in-world currency. They are not a price, not a valuation, and not convertible into anything.

No sales, no payment

This site has no checkout, no payment form, no wallet connection, no deposit mechanism and no order process. The enquiry links open your own email program with a message you write and send yourself. Nobody will invoice you. If any page, message or third party ever asks you to pay for something described on this site, it is not us and it is a fraud — do not pay it.

No advice

Nothing here is art-market advice, investment advice, or a statement of fact about the digital art trade. The provenance entries, condition language, integrity hashes and catalogue numbers are set dressing written to sound plausible. They document nothing.

Using the site

The site is provided as it is, for free, with no warranty of any kind, and it may change or disappear without notice. The text and design are the authors' own work; you are welcome to read, quote and link to it, and not to pass it off as a real gallery's material. If you write about it, saying that it is fiction costs you one sentence and saves somebody else a misunderstanding.
