Untitled (Eight Bars)

Fourteen kilobytes that generate both the image and the sound, from the same numbers. The eight bars do not loop cleanly and were not meant to: the routine advances a counter that will not return to its starting value for just over nine hours, so the palette walks slowly through a range the collective has tuned by hand at four points and left alone in between. In the morning it is cold and blue. By the time the gallery closes it has gone somewhere unreasonable. It is the newest work here and the cheapest, and it is the one the staff argue about.
