It is the study that produced the Cathedral two years later, and it is the better introduction to how Adeyi-Marsh works: the surface is a single material with eleven parameters and she has spent the work on three of them. Watch it for a minute and the light moves — not dramatically, on a cycle of about ninety seconds, as though something behind the viewer were shifting its weight. The executable is sealed and recomputes the image on every viewing, so no two people have ever seen the same frame. She considers the edition of five generous.
